Northwest Community Church currently has multiple AWANA leadership and volunteer positions unfilled. We want to set up our AWANA ministry for success, which requires time to plan and train before the school year starts. Given that the school year is nearly here, we have decided that we do not have enough leadership and volunteer support to have an AWANA ministry this year. 

For those who wish to continue with AWANA, 13 churches within 10 miles of Northwest offer AWANA programs*. We are confident that there are many churches in the area with good AWANA programs. We have personally spoken with Mike Pratt (AWANA Commander and Senior Pastor at Communion Chapel, a sister church in the EFCA). They have a Wednesday night AWANA program and are excited to accommodate additional children and volunteers.

Thanks so much to everyone who has invested in kids through Northwest’s AWANA ministry! There is much to celebrate as we reflect on all that the Lord has done through Northwest’s AWANA program over the years. We will continue, by God’s grace, to seek to inspire kids’ faith in God and build faith at home.
