CARE GROUPS
When God said, “It is not good for man to be alone” (Genesis 2:18), God really meant it. As those made in the image (Genesis 1:26) of a relational God (Father, Son & Spirit), we are designed to journey through life in close relationship with God and people. At Northwest Community Church, we exist to help people passionately pursue life-changing relationships with God, each other, and our world. Growing in relationship with God and people takes more than a Sunday morning worship service. That’s why we encourage every adult at Northwest to be involved with a Care Group. Care Groups are coed adult small groups. Northwest currently has eleven Care Groups ministering to adults at a variety of times and locations. Care groups meet 1.5 – 2 hours (weekly or biweekly) and include fellowship, discussion of the Bible or a Christian book, and prayer. Some groups also include additional components (hangouts, Scripture memory, service projects, accountability, meals, etc.). Care Groups are a place where you can build healthy relationships with other believers and be encouraged to grow spiritually, as you encourage others to do the same. They are a place where you can learn more about the Bible and be encouraged to apply it to everyday life. They are a place where you can honestly share your struggles and take them to God in prayer. Jeff Harrison, our Family Pastor, would love to answer any questions and help you get connected with a Care Group. We currently have groups with openings on Sunday evening, Monday evening and Friday morning for seniors. OTHER SMALL GROUPS
