Dear
church family,
We have some exciting news to share with you about our
search for a Pastor of Family Ministries.
On Sunday, immediately after the second worship service,
we held a congregational meeting to decide if we would
ask Jeff Harrison, the candidate who has been
recommended by the Elders and the Search Committee, to
serve in that capacity.
After a time of Q & A between Jeff and the congregation,
Jeff and Stephanie were dismissed for more
congregational discussion. Following the discussion, the
members took a vote on whether to call Jeff as our
newest addition to the pastoral staff - and the vote was
affirmative!
Jeff is very eager to begin his service here, so he
plans to return to San Antonio to begin work at the
church on Tuesday, January 17th. We are
thrilled to welcome Jeff to our staff and to welcome
Jeff, his wife, Stephanie, and their three month old
son, Grant, to the Northwest family.
Our thanks go out to the Pastoral Search Committee (the
members of the Search Committee were: Todd Havekost -
Chairman, Jennifer Bruegger, Amanda Means, Karen Seguin,
and Dave Smith) which conducted the search that led us
to Jeff. Also, to help with a smooth transition, the
Elders have asked Erin Smith - and she has agreed - to
continue to serve in her capacity as Children’s Ministry
Leader while Jeff learns more about our ministry to
children here.
Please join us in praising God for His provision of Jeff
to serve in this important role at our church and for
His leading in the decision-making process. Let’s
continue to pray that Jeff’s ministry here will be
richly blessed by God and that we will be a blessing to
the Harrison family.
